sea GARDEN RESTORATION
BRIEF
This 19th century Garden was in disrepair when initially consulted. A walled garden complete with drinking well and orchard. Amazon was commissioned for restoration of granite walls and redesign to Victorian Garden style in the properties original era.
DESIGN
A formal period Garden Design with maritime influence from coastline was proposed. Terrace giving alternative seating areas for dining and entertaing in full sun or shade
Restoration
The garden walls were recapped and restored in traditional lime mortar and totally rebuilt in places. An original garden well was discovered during landscaping and was reinforced to make safe
PLanting
Buxus Siempervirens and Lavandula angustifolia were used for definition of beds. Buxus giving evergreen structure filled with waves of lavender
LImestone
A bespoke angle of limestone paving added to the maritime influence of site location and gave a atmospheric shaded patio
